The miracle of life
Soon after their infant son’s arrival, Donovan and Morgan McNaughton learned baby Everett was born without a functioning immune system. The disorder, known as SCID, threatened his ability to have a normal childhood and even to survive into adulthood. Luckily, Everett’s big brother, Fergus, was a perfect match for a life-saving bone-marrow transplant. The family has lived at Ronald McDonald House of Durham for 121 days so far. See their story.
